Die Blüte der Rapsfelder an der Ostsee übt immer wieder einen ganz besonderen Reiz auf mich aus, besonders am Tag im Bild: Ein tiefblauer Himmel breitete sich über dem Raps und der See aus. Nur wenige nahezu schneeweiße Wölkchen waren noch am Himmel, und ein nahezu purpurroter Streifen am lichter werdenden Horizont färbte selbst das zuvor tiefblau erscheinende Wasser mit seiner unwiderstehlichen Strahlkraft.

The blossoming of the rape fields at the Baltic Sea always has a very special attraction to me, especially on the day in the picture: A deep blue sky was spreading over the rape and the ocean. Only a few almost snow-white clouds were still in the sky, and an almost purple stripe on the brightening horizon coloured even the previously deep blue water with its irresistible radiance.
