Gelbe Tulpen

Tulpen in solch sonnigem Gelb sind für mich Inbegriff eines lang erwarteten Frühjahrs. Sie lassen träumen von all dem neu im Jahr Entstehenden und Blühenden – sie geben Mut und Vorfreude auf Neues. Das Sonnengelb gibt uns Hoffnung, Erwartung, beflügelt unseren Geist und vermittelt uns oft auch Freude.

Tulips in such a sunny yellow are for me the symbol of a long awaited spring. They make us dream of all the new things that will appear and blossom in the year – they give us courage and anticipation for the new. The sun yellow gives us hope, expectation, inspires our spirit and often gives us a sense of joy.

Noch sind im Garten die alten Blütenstände der Hortensien des letzten Jahres an ihren üppigen Büschen, doch bald werden sie beschnitten und dann kommt die neue Blüte in all ihrer Pracht. Auch ein Strauß für die Vase wird wieder dabei sein…

In the garden, the old hydrangeas from last year are still on their lush bushes, but soon they will be pruned and then the new flowers will come in all their glory. Also a bouquet for the vase will be there again…

Kosmeen zum Ausklang des Sommers

Diese wunderschöne Sommerblume wird häufig nur Cosmea, Kosmee oder Schmuckkörbchen genannt. Sie gedeiht mit ganz geringen Ansprüchen an ihre Kultur in unseren Gärten und häufig auch auf unseren Balkonen. Das hohe, lichte Grün trägt zwischen Juli und Oktober immer neue Blüten, die wir als grandiose Farbtupfer der Natur gern wahrnehmen. Ebenso vermag ihr Duft so manchen von uns zu betören. Wer die Pflanze nicht kennt, sollte ihr eine Chance geben und wer sie kennt, wird sie wohl für immer in sein Herz geschlossen haben.

This beautiful summer flower is commonly garden cosmos, cosmea or Mexican astr. It thrives in our gardens and often on our balconies with very little demands on its culture. Between July and October, the high, light green bears ever new blossoms, which we like to perceive as a grandiose spot of colour in nature. Their perfume can also beguile many of us. Those who don’t know the plant should give it a chance and those who know it will have taken it into their hearts forever.

Blumen verschönern unser Leben, und um jemanden ein Lächeln ins Gesicht zu zaubern, ist oft die Sonnenblume die richtige Wahl. So auch bei mir. Sie verzaubern mich in jedem Jahr aufs Neue mit ihrem strahlenden Gelb und ihren schweren, sich mit Samen füllenden Blütenköpfen, an denen sich Bienen, Wespen und Hummeln nähren, und die sie dem Lauf der Sonne täglich von Neuem folgen lassen.

Flowers brighten up our lives, and to put a smile on someone’s face, the sunflower is often the right choice. So it is with me. Every year they fascinate me with their radiant yellow and their heavy, seed-filled flower heads, which feed bees, wasps and bumble bees and follow the path of the sun anew every day.
